FLUX PUMP WITH HIGH TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTOR AND SUPERCONDUCTIVE ELECTROMAGNET OPERATED BY THE FLUX PUMP

PURPOSE: A flux pump and a superconducting electromagnet operating thereby are provided to specify the measures with which the corresponding devices are advantageously implemented with HTc superconductor material. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises a superconductor flux pump(2) with a transformer(13). The transformer includes one or more superconducting coils(213,313) arranged in a secondary side rectifier circuit having at least two controllable switches(15,16). The pump is arranged to supply current into a superconducting coil(11) of an electromagnet(111). The respective secondary-side coil includes HTc superconductor material and MOSFETs are provided as the at least two controllable switches in the secondary-side rectifier circuit.
