PURPOSE: A method and a device for searching the information about an interesting place, and the method and the system for providing the information are provided to enhance accuracy and view ability of path search when providing a path and information about an interesting place. CONSTITUTION: The system includes a vehicle navigation system(10), a mobile communication network(12), and a map information providing system(20). The vehicle navigation system displays the present location by using the GPS(Global Positioning System) signals received from a GPS satellite(8) and transmits and receives data with the map information providing system through the mobile communication network. The mobile communication network wirelessly interfaces the vehicle navigation system and the map information providing system. The map information providing system extracts the vehicle navigation information requested from the vehicle navigation system and provides the extracted information to the vehicle navigation system.
