PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing a gel typed food using gelatin, sodium alginate and agar without adding a coagulant such as calcium salt. The gel typed food is excellent in gel strength and texture, and brings a tender touch to a mouth. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing a gel typed food using gelatin, sodium alginate and agar comprises the steps of; mixing 3.25 to 5.04 wt.% of gelatin with 1.12 to 2.47 wt.% of sodium alginate to produce sol, mixing 3.25 to 5.04 wt.% of gelatin with 1.13 to 2.52 wt.% of agar to produce sol, or mixing 3.25 to 5.04 wt.% of gelatin with 1.12 to 2.47 wt.% of sodium alginate and 1.13 to 2.52 wt.% of agar to produce sol; adding a food into the sol; and gelating the food containing sol at room temperature.
