Refeelin artficial light weight aggregate amanufactuing method using waste PET bottle and Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing artificial lightweight aggregates using pet bottle waste and ground granulated blast furnace slag is provided to recycle waste sources and further reduce weight of structures. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing artificial lightweight aggregates includes the steps of charging ground granulated blast furnace slag in a kneader wherein the inside temperature of the kneader is 25030 deg.C and it is rotated at 10 to 20 rpm; cutting PET bottle waste into the size of 5 to 10 mm; inputting the PET bottle waste flake in the kneader; rotating the kneader at 10 to 20 rpm for 5 to 10 minutes to coat the PET bottle waste flake with ground granulated blast furnace slag in a thickness of 0.5 to 10 mm.
