Method to manufacture substitute fuel using food wastes

PURPOSE: A method of producing alternative fuel using garbage is provided, which evaporate moisture of garbage by superheated air of 150 to 200 deg.C thus sterilizing harmful bacteria, and forcibly dewater by mechanical solid-liquid separation thus saving energy consumption required to produce alternative fuel. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of heat treatment process to sterilize bacteria by evaporating moisture by contacting with hot air of 150 to 200 deg.C for 20 to 30 minutes during transferring the garbage via conveyor; filtration process to press filter the transferred garbage to diminish the moisture content and to transfer the filtrate liquid to storage tank; methane fermentation process to transfer the filtrate to methane fermentation tank and to control the pH, alkalinity, temperature of the organic of the filtrate, and to decompose into methane gas and carbon dioxide in anaerobic condition of non-free oxygen by acid fermentation bacteria and methane bacteria; and drying process to evaporate moisture of the pressure filtered garbage to 20 to 50 wt.% by using heat generated from methane burning.
