PURPOSE: A reinforcing method for a beam of a single-span bridge is provided to enhance bearing power of a beam for a single-span bridge. CONSTITUTION: The reinforcing method for a beam of a single-span bridge comprises the steps of: forming through holes(51h) for inserting a tension member(54) into each side of a bridge beam(51), installing reinforcing brackets(52a-52d) for supporting and protecting a tension member(54) to each through hole(51h) and installing a saddle bracket for installing a tension member(54) on the central lower part of the unit beam(51); installing a tension member(54) over the through holes(51h) of the beam(51), the reinforcing brackets(52a-52d) and the saddle bracket to make the tension member(54) form one closed rope as a whole; installing fixtures(55a,55b) respectively on the tension member(54) by approaching each reinforcing bracket(52d,52c); and dismantling the mobilized equipment for tension works.
