Apparatus and method for authoring of multi-media contents with object-based interactivity

PURPOSE: A system and a method for producing object-based interactive multimedia contents are provided to improve techniques of editing and producing the interactive multimedia contents. CONSTITUTION: A system for producing object-based interactive multimedia contents includes a user interface(103), an edition information processor(104), and a media encoding/decoding unit(105). The user interface provides an interface for editing the object-based multimedia contents with a tool of editing and producing object-based multimedia information. The edition information processor converts edition information of the multimedia contents inputted from the user interface into an object-based internal data structure and store it. The processor also converts the form of the stored multimedia contents information to input/output it in a file form. The media encoding/decoding unit encodes and decodes the multimedia contents information.
