On-line measurement of X-ray tube voltage in computed tomography systems

The CT system includes a pair of detectors 18 in the detector array 16 that measure the x-ray intensity from the source 13 after passing through the differential x-ray filter 40. The ratio of the signals generated by these two detector elements 18 is input to a KV calculator 41 which generates a signal representing the x-ray tube voltage.
