BACULOVIRUS EXPRESSION VECTOR CONTAINING E2 PROTEIN GENE OF KOREAN HEPATITIS C VIRUS(HCV) AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING E2 PROTEIN USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A baculovirus expression vector containing an E2 protein gene of Korean hepatitis C virus(HCV) and a process for preparing E2 protein using the same are provided, thereby effectively diagnosing the infection of hepatitis C virus. CONSTITUTION: A recombinant baculovirus expression vector contains an E2 protein gene of Korean hepatitis C virus(HCV), wherein a polyhedrin gene of wild baculovirus DNA is substituted by the E2 protein gene. An expression vector is produced by co-infection of insect cells with the recombinant baculovirus cloning vector containing the E2 protein gene and wild baculovirus DNA, wherein the recombinant baculovirus cloning vector is pVL1393 IL2-E2. A recombinant baculovirus contains the recombinant baculovirus expression vector, wherein the recombinant baculovirus is BVLUC-IL2-E2(ATCC VR 2422). A process for preparing the E2 protein of Korean hepatitis B virus comprises infecting insect cells with the recombinant baculovirus BVLUC-IL2-E2(ATCC VR 2422) and culturing them.
