The present invention relates to a metal oxide electrode coated with a porous metal, a metal oxide or a carbon thin film, and a method for manufacturing the same, and a lithium secondary battery using the same. In the manufacture of a lithium secondary battery, a thin film generally known on the surface of a metal oxide based anode is manufactured. Technology using Li, Al, Sn, Bi, Si, Sb, Ni, Cu, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Zn, Mo, W, Ag, Au, Pt, Ir, Ru, carbon and By coating a porous thin film of these alloys or oxides with a thickness of several micrometers to several micrometers, the battery capacity, high rate charge-discharge characteristics, and lifetime characteristics are greatly improved. This invention can be applied to the fabrication of all secondary batteries using lithium.
