The present invention relates to an infrared detector using a quantum dot, in particular a quantum dot infrared photodetector (QDIP) using metal grating and Al (Ga) As / GaAs superlattice light guiding structure grating and Al (Ga) As / GaAs superlattices waveguide). The quantum dot infrared detector according to the present invention forms a comb-shaped metal grating structure on the electrode to diffract the incident light, and also the Al on the GaAs substrate to reflect the incident light propagated vertically. By stacking (Ga) As / GaAs superlattice structures, more light is irradiated onto the pyramid-shaped quantum dots to increase light absorption.
