FIELD: search for and evaluation of magnetite mineralization. SUBSTANCE: lithochemical samples of bed rock mineralization are taken and analyzed. Linear productivity above background is found. Linear productivity above background and reference mineralization are compared. Quantitative evaluation is carried out. Analysis of lithochemical samples of bed rock mineralization, determination of productivity above background, comparison of linear productivity above background of evaluated and reference mineralization are conducted for general iron, magnetic iron, sulfur, copper, zinc, silver, nickel, cobalt, manganese, molybdenum. In addition averaged coefficient of similarity is determined for quantitative evaluation by given formula. EFFECT: reduced capital outlays and time, enhanced quality of search. 2 tbl
