Process for the production of a fiber raw material for technical paper from wastes that are produced in the production and processing of technical textiles from Si0¶2¶ filaments

Waste fabrics (1) of silicon dioxide filaments are chopped (2), ground in a rotary cutting mill (3) and then sieved (6). Size is removed (7) at above 650 deg C, preferably at 700 - 800 deg C. The resultant fibers (8) are mixed with water (9) and are fed to a papermaking line (10). Typical products are filter papers (12) or papers for electrical insulation (11).
