Complete finish casting comprises measuring the sand compression during or after the sand compression process of a sand layer poured into a container using a sensor fixed to a rod-like support, feeding the results to a computer for processing, measuring further sand layers in the container by positioning the sensor at different heights and removing the support before casting the cast cluster without loosening the sand in the container. Preferred Features: The sand layers have a thickness of 20-150 mm.
