The method involves detecting the imbalance as the vehicle is being driven using a sensor (3) on a vehicle wheel and the detected values of the imbalance are transmitted from a transmitter (4) in the sensor to a receiver (8) in a receiver arrangement (6,7) in the vehicle and/or to an external receiver arrangement. Independent claims are also included for an arrangement for detecting an imbalance in a motor vehicle wheel and for a sensor device.
