The arrangement has a roller press (1,2) and a rail (3) inserted into the gap between the rollers of the press with at least one longitudinal groove (3a) in its upper surface in which the upper roller engages without play. The rail also has a lower groove (3b) engaged without play by the lower roller. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method oil compacting small quantities of powdered material.
