The transmission has a torque-dependent and a transmission-dependent component. A back pressure valve (9) is located between a hydraulic slide (6) and an outer sensor chamber (2), parallel to a throttle (8). The valve closes in direction of the chamber. Operation of the hydraulic slide sets a pressure in the outer sensor chamber, which is favorable for overall efficiency. An electromagnetic modulation valve (23) in front of the slide abruptly switches the pressure of the sensor chamber to ambient pressure.
