The device has a rear flap joined to the roof area of the vehicle of length and breadth ensuring exposure of a rear opening at least corresponding essentially to the free internal volume of the vehicle body when the flap is opened. The body floor forms a hollow volume extending over the vehicle breadth accommodating a platform movable by a motor drive between a position in the hollow volume and a rearward position beyond the rear opening plane. The device has a rear flap joined to the roof area of the vehicle, extending to the floor of the vehicle and pivotable upwards. The flap has length and breadth ensuring the exposure of a rear opening at least corresponding essentially to the free internal volume of the vehicle body when the flap is opened. The floor (10) of the body, at least in the rear area of the vehicle, forms a double wall hollow volume (12) extending over the breadth of the vehicle that accommodates a platform (14) movable by a motor drive between a position within the hollow volume and a rearward position beyond the plane of the rear opening (13).
