The device has a low noise radial fan (5) for generating suction mounted behind filters and whereby the exhaust air flow is deflected by 90 degrees. The fan unit can be hinged downwards for filter replacement and there is a large oval suction opening and at least one multilayer fine-dust throwaway filter (2) with a dust-tight closable opening (8). Independent claims are also included for the following: a carbon or granulate filter, a revolution rate regulator and a housing.
