The machine (10) has a trash container in which sweeper goods are conveyable by a sweeping roller (42) and flow connected with a motor driven suction unit (52) via a filter device (68). The filter device is removable from a side of a cleaning area after moving a filter cover (64) in operation of the machine. A suction channel (56) is arranged between the filter device and the suction unit with respect to a flow direction of air sucked from the suction unit, and is limited in sections by the cover. The suction unit is arranged at an end of the suction channel turned to the filter device.
