The device has an overall gas volume (1) that is connected with a neighboring liquid (3) over a phase boundary (2), and smaller than a critical gas volume. The phase boundary is formed as a ball cap. An Independent claim is also included for determining dilatation elasticity and viscosity on fluid phase boundary.
