The box file has an internal mechanism to receive perforated sheets and an open-top pocket (5) of transparent plastic on the spine, to take labels. From the top edge of the pocket, two slits (10) in the plastic outer wall of the pocket extend downwards. By this means, a tongue-shaped tab (11) is formed. The slits may be vertical, one close to each edge.
