A polyester film (I) consisting of at least one base layer and at least one covering layer, the base layer contains (in addition to a thermoplastic polyester) a cycloolefin copolymer (COC),and a thermoplastic polyester (II) used for the base layer. At least one covering layer has an elevated content of diethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol and/or isophthalic acid. An Independent claim is included for the preparation of (I), by coextruding the starting materials necessary for the base, covering and optionally intermediate layers using an extruder having a flat die and biaxially orienting, thermo-fixing and optionally further processing the obtained film.
