The device has a regulator body and head in a housing, an inner sensor element and an integral thermal decoupling element. The decoupling element is an arrangement of one or more heat pipes, each with two thermally conducting transition zones whose total thermal capacity is such that the influence of the heating medium temperature on the sensing element is reduced to a negligible level. The device has a regulator body and a regulator head enclosed by a housing, an inner sensor element for detecting room temperature and an integral thermal decoupling element for reducing the influence of the heating medium (HM) on the sensing element, which is connected to the heating medium as a heat source and to the air in the room as a heat sink. The thermal decoupling element is a heat pipe arrangement with one or more heat pipes (WR), each with two thermally conducting transition zones (WUeQ,WUeS) whose total thermal capacity is such that the influence of the heating medium temperature on the sensing element (FE) is reduced to a negligible level.
