The system has devices for feeding at least two components to an assembly station with at least one associated automatic assembly unit. A bolting station (28) horizontally pivotable through 180 degrees is mounted in the workshop floor (22) near the assembly station. When the bolting station is in its retracted state its rear side is level with the workshop floor.
