A 1-stage method for the production of tetrahydrofuran (THF) homo- or co-polymers by polymerisation of THF on an acid catalyst in presence of telogens and/or comonomers elected from alpha ,w-diols, poly-THF (mol. wt. 200-700) and/or cyclic ethers, in which the water concentration during polymerisation does not exceed 500 ppm.
