Parts (10) are coated in a coating appliance, and before being moved into the appliance, are at least partially covered with an esp. liquid medium to generate and/or increase electrical conductivity. The covering is also applied to parts, which neighbor the part to be coated and have higher electrical conductivity. The coating may retain residual moisture. The liquid medium is pref. a water-containing filler and/or lacquer, and is applied by pneumatic means to thickness of 0,5 mu to 15 mu .
