The method of converting heat into mechanical energy includes the feed of a mixture of low boiling point working medium, preferably ammonia, and high boiling point liquid, preferably water, so that the fluid mixture is fed into a high pressure and/or medium pressure evaporation chamber, and upon demand a portion of the low boiling point medium is fed into the evaporation chamber and heat from outside is transferred via a heat transfer connecting circuit. The low boiling point medium absorbs condensate from the fluid mixture and the low boiling point condensate is evaporated, with pressure increase. An Independent claim is included for a system for converting heat into mechanical energy.
