Radioactive beams are converted to light beams by a measurement head (1) and transmitted through a light guide (2) to a CCD element. The guide and the head are covered by a flexible opaque sheath having a diameter of less than 5mm. The guide and the CCD elements are coupled through fiber and transparent tube.
