Elimination of trinitrotoluene (TNT) from ground water and waste liquor comprises circulating water containing TNT through a microbiological treatment cycle of alternate (i) fine enzymatic decomposition of TNT with a finely-divided stream of a lygninolytic system inoculated with fungi and (ii) fine bacterial mineralization under anaerobic conditions in a water reservoir treated with bacteria. Elimination of trinitrotoluene (TNT) from ground water and waste liquor comprises circulating water containing TNT through a microbiological treatment cycle of alternate (i) fine enzymatic decomposition of TNT under aerobic conditions with a finely-divided stream of a lygninolytic system inoculated with fungi and (ii) fine bacterial mineralization under anaerobic conditions in a water reservoir treated with bacteria. An Independent claim is also included for the plant used in this process.
