Heavily loaded spheroidal casting part (1) cast from a base melt consists of (wt%): 50-70 (60) crude iron, 26-46 (37) steel briquettes and recycled material, 2.4-3.4 (2.5) nickel, = 0.11 cerium/silicon mixture, = 0.13 bismuth/silicon mixture, = 0.09 manganese, = 0.02 wt.% phosphorus, and = 0.008 wt.% sulfur. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a method for manufacturing a heavily loaded spheroidal casting part; (b) and a method for testing the strength of a heavily loaded spheroidal casting part.
