The screw-clamp (10) has a slide rail (12) along which moves a support-piece (18) which has at lest two aligning elements (20). A fixed bracket (14) has a clamping-surface (16,16')parallel with a second clamping surface (19,19'). A slide bracket moving along with the support piece has a spindle (28) and handle (30). The support piece is moved by means of the spindle over a rotarily mounted pressure plate for clamping a workpiece tightly between the clamping surface and support piece. At least one coupling (40) is movably positioned around the rail and is movable separately from the fixed bracket. A coupling (42) movable separately from the support piece can fit into the fixed bracket and support pieces.
