Production of a thick layer/thin layer hybrid circuit on metal oxide substrates (1) comprises applying conducting pathways (3), resistance surfaces and insulating layers (4) on an insulating layer (2) of a metal oxide produced using a known wet electrochemical process. Preferred Features: Aluminum, magnesium and titanium with oxide layers as substrate material for the circuit are used. The circuit is structured using a photolithographic or screen printing process.
