Thermal timing switch has both temperature and time control functions. Accordingly a switching tongue of the switching clock is bimetallic so that the temperature sensor directly affects the switching process. A screw is available with which tensioning of the bimetallic sensor can be changed and therefore the temperature at which switching takes place. If the bimetallic sensor has not already turned of the heater, etc. then the timer switches it off at a set time.
