By means of a wear model (f) a relationship between measured operational magnitudes (x(t)) dependent on use, and aging parameters (a(t)) is formed. The aging parameters or magnitudes derived from them are calculated internally to the system. An Independent claim is included for corresponding equipment to collect aging-related parameters, and the associated computer program.
