Roof framework used as a scaffold for a building tradesman comprises a perforated arm (1), transverse bars (3), and a holding clamp (2). A railing post (13) is mounted on the transverse railing bar (12) with a socket bar (22). Bolts (19) with keys (21) are used in the boles (18) to prevent movement. In the lower region of the railing post the holding tube (14) is provided with wing nuts (15) and the upper region (17) of the railing post is provided with two angle brackets (16). Preferred Features: The arm is 150 to 15 000 mm long. The holding clamps can be 120-8000 mm long. The holding clamps, the transverse bar and the transverse railing bar can be secured against slipping in any hole in the arm using bolts.
