The unit to condense drawn sliver, at the drawing unit for a spinner, has a condensing section (6.1,6.2) with a rotating and perforated surface (21). The sliver passes over the surface and air is drawn through the perforations by suction, from suction units (13.1,13.2) with axial movement within the condensing sections. The condensing system for drawn sliver at a drawing unit, for a spinner, has condensing sections which have an axial movement against or with the suction units. The suction units have a restricted rotation within the condensing sections. The suction units and/or the condensing sections are moved together by a reciprocating system, with a link (25) to give them a common reciprocating axial movement (x1).
