A cutter (4) cuts sections (14) in the objects (16) being cleared out of way. At least one expander (6) is inserted into the cut for breaking and or enlarging the distances between the parts separated by the incisions. The expander consists of a flat enlargeable pad of two tightly joined metal plates (8,10) enclosing a flat hollow cavity. An especially hydraulic pump (12) pumps in pressurized water for widening the pad.
