The compressed air pressure supply for the pneumatic systems at railway freight wagons is structured so that, on a pressure drop in the main pressure vessel line (30) below a set level and with a given pressure applied in the main brake pressure line (10), compressed air is fed into the pressure vessel (16) of the wagon from the main pressure line. Or the main pressure vessel line is linked to the pressure vessel at each wagon through a pressure line (32), a non-return valve (38) and a throttle jet (40); and the main pressure line is connected to the pressure vessel at each wagon through a pressure line, a throttle jet (28), two successive control valves (42,20) and a non-return valve (22).
