Temperature measure within cooking pot using vibrating sensor placed in cooking pot wall that is excited by alternating magnetic field and then vibrates with its own measurable temperature dependent frequency
Temperature indication device (11) in which a vibrating device (17) in placed in the wall (15) of a cooking pot (13). The vibrating device is excited using an alternating magnetic field. The vibrating device consists of an at least partially ferromagnetic mechanical vibration device, the vibration properties of which are temperature dependent. Independent claims are made for a cooking pot with at integral mechanical vibration element for temperature measurement and a method for determining the temperature within a cooking pot. According to the method the vibrating device is excited by an alternating magnetic field and then a detector (30) comprising a coil (24) is used to measure the magnet field produced by the vibrating element once the exciting magnetic field is removed. From the frequency of the measured magnetic field the temperature within the cooking pot is determined.
