The chopping board, made of a slightly elastic synthetic material is divided into a rigid plain central area (4) and two lateral areas (4b) provided with longitudinally positioned ribs (6, 7) at the lower surface. A u-shaped bow with short straight extensions on both ends is transversally joined to the lower surface of the central area with u-clamps (10, 12) and can be slid along guide slots (14) located at the outer edge of the board. When the extensions are horizontally moved along the slots (14) the board is transformed into a chute-like shape (2) suitable for the convenient transfer of the chopped food into a container.
