The method for recultivating soil uses a vehicle (R), in front of which two spiked rollers are mounted. The smaller roller (4), which is mounted in front, rotates in the direction of motion of the vehicle and carries out an initial breaking up of the soil, while the larger roller (5) rotates in the opposite direction and breaks it up more finely. Independent claims are included for: (a) a machine for carrying out the method; and (b) a drive system for the machine.
