Enzymatic production of cDNA by reverse transcription, in the presence of betaine, provides a high yield of full-length molecules from large RNA templates

Enzymatic preparation (M1) of cDNA from RNA at least 3 kb long, by reverse transcription in a medium that includes betaine (I), is new. An independent claim is also included for use of (I) to loosen the secondary structure of RNA matrices.
