The measuring electrodes (1) are provided by a flexible, expandable conductive material and pressed into contact with the walls (2) of the borehole or the fissure via pneumatic or hydraulic pressure devices. The electrodes are used selectively for supplying electrical currents or measuring electrical potentials. An Independent claim for a geoelectric measuring device with electrodes of a flexible, expandable conductive material is also included.
