Method uses a terminal with a card-reader and additional information input devices. The terminal can connect to the Internet and a bank server. When a payment function is activated on a supplier website, corresponding information is transmitted from the supplier server to the terminal and accordingly controls the terminal which authenticates the user and connects to the bank server to collect payment with the supplier server notified of a successful payment. An Independent claim is included for a corresponding terminal with a payment collection device for implementation of the inventive method.
