An orally-administered nutritional product of the anabolic ketogenic type for athletes is such that (i) 80-83% of the nutritional calories are supplied by fats and 17-20% by protein; (ii) the product is free of carbohydrates, especially those with alpha -glycosidic bonding; and (iii) additionally present are alanine and glutamine, an antioxidant, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and ballast material and also, in definite amounts, aromas and emulsifiers.
