Infrared gas analyzer comprises an infrared radiation source (1) for producing a broad band infrared radiation (2); a modulating unit consisting of an acousto-optical filter (5) which is triggered by a control unit (9) to modulate the radiation; and a detector (13). Preferred Features: Two different wavelengths of the infrared radiation can be adjusted to modulate the radiation by triggering the filter. One of the wavelengths lies in the absorption region of the measuring component and the other in a region of slight absorption. The measuring components to be detected are contained in the detector.
