The valve for a regulated slip braking system controls liquid flow between a first (1) and second (2) fluid connection. The rate of flow through the valve can be regulated independently of its direction. The rate of flow between the first and second connections is greater than that in the reverse direction. This is achieved using a connecting sleeve (3) which reduces the flow rate towards the first connection, depending on the difference in pressure between the two.
