The method involves feeding an induction flow to a compressor, tapping partly compressed air from a tapping point on the compressor and feeding it to thermally loaded structures as cooling air. The pressure or mass flow of the partly compressed air (16) is regulated by injecting water (18) into the compressor (1) or into the induction flow (6) upstream of the tapping point (20).
