The invention relates to a method for the improved production of adult stem cells from human tissue iex vivo/i, or iin vivo/i, using nucleosides, nucleobases and the derivatives thereof, in particular of 6-methyluracil and combination preparations of nucleosides, nucleobases, the derivatives thereof and cytostatics.
